Sabres add depth for Rochester

Buffalo, NY (WGR 550) - The Sabres have signed a defenseman for Rochester. Matt Tennyson gets a two-year deal from the Sabres.

Tennyson played 45 games with Carolina last season scoring no goals and six assists.

He's played 105 NHL games with the Hurricanes and Sharks scoring three goals and 17 assists. In 178 career AHL games the 27-year-old has 20 goals and 52 assists.

San Jose signed Tennyson out of Western Michigan in 2012.
