Buffalo Bills defensive tackle Adolphus Washington was arrested Sunday near Cincinnati on weapons charges.

The 22-year old Washington, a 2016 third round pick, was later released. According to the Sharonville Police Department, Washington reached for and displayed a gun as officers were clearing out a local water park:

This is Washington's second arrest in less than two years.  The Cincinnati native was arrested while a student-athelete at Ohio State in December, 2015 when he attempted to solicit a prostitute.  He was suspended for the Fiesta Bowl by head coach Urban Meyer.

The Bills issued a statement on the matter late Monday evening: "We are aware of the incident regarding Adolphus Washington and have been in contact with him.  Since it is a pending legal matter, we will have no further comment.”

Washington is expected to give Buffalo some depth at defensive tackle, behind Marcell Dareus, Kyle Williams and Jerel Worthy.  He played 15 games last year, starting 11 of them, and recorded 2.5 sacks and 21 total tackles.  He was left inactive for the team's finale at the New York Jets.
