Sabres sign Beaulieu ahead of arbitration hearing

The Buffalo Sabres have announced the signing of RFA Nathan Beaulieu to a two-year deal.

Beaulieu had an arbitration hearing scheduled for Friday. The Sabres avoided hearings will all three players that filed for arbitration, also signing Johan Larsson and Robin Lehner. Zemgus Girgensons remains an unsigned RFA. He did not file for arbitration. 

The contract is for two years and $4.8 million total. That's an AAV of $2.4 million. 

Jason Botterill traded a 3rd round pick for Beaulieu on June 17th in Botterill's first trade as a general manager. Beaulieu was the 17th overall pick by Montreal in 2011. In 74 games last season, he had 4 goals and 24 assists.
